MyFitnessPal Integration

The MyFitnessPal integration lets your coach use your logged nutrition and activity from MyFitnessPal when your diary can be read.

Before you start #

  • You need your MyFitnessPal username.
  • Your MyFitnessPal diary must be readable by NutriTracker. Private diary settings can block sync.
  • Sync can take a couple of minutes and may be limited by MyFitnessPal availability.

Where to find it #

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Integrations.
  3. Tap MyFitnessPal.

Android #

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Connected Apps.
  3. Tap MyFitnessPal.

Web #

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open Integrations.
  3. Find the MyFitnessPal card.

How to use it #

  1. Open MyFitnessPal from Integrations or Connected Apps.
  2. Enter your MyFitnessPal username in the MyFitnessPal username field.
  3. Tap or click Connect. If already connected, use Save after changing the username.
  4. Tap or click Sync today's diary to pull today's latest diary data.
  5. Use Disconnect if you no longer want your coach to see MyFitnessPal diary data.

What happens next #

  • When sync succeeds, your coach can use daily calorie context, macro feedback, and activity context from MyFitnessPal.
  • The card shows the last import or last attempt time.
  • Chat may show MyFitnessPal data source chips when imported data is part of the response context.

Troubleshooting #

  • Username not found. Check the exact MyFitnessPal username and save again.
  • My diary is private. Change your MyFitnessPal diary privacy so NutriTracker can read it, then sync again.
  • Sync is blocked or times out. Wait a few minutes and try again. MyFitnessPal can temporarily block automated access or rate-limit repeated attempts.
  • There are no entries for today. Log food in MyFitnessPal first, then tap Sync today's diary.
  • The sync button says Try again in a moment. A cooldown is active after recent sync attempts. Wait for the cooldown to end.

Privacy and safety notes #

  • NutriTracker reads diary data for coaching context. You can disconnect MyFitnessPal at any time from the integration card.
