Getting the Most from Your First Week

Your first week is about giving your coach enough real context to be useful. You do not need perfect data or a strict routine.

Before you start #

  • Finish onboarding and send at least one chat message.
  • Eligible users can start a no-card Pro trial from onboarding or Subscription when the app offers it.
  • Connect Apple Health or Health Connect only if you want health data in coaching. Manual use still works.
  • Pro unlocks deeper memory, all personas, advanced insights, and higher usage limits.

Where to find it #

iOS #

  1. Start in the Chat tab.
  2. Use Insights after a day or two to read your Daily Briefing and Weekly Review when available.
  3. Use Settings for coach, memory, integrations, and subscription controls.

Android #

  1. Start in the Chat tab.
  2. Use Insights after a day or two to read your Daily Briefing and Weekly Review when available.
  3. Use Settings for coach, memory, integrations, and subscription controls.

Web #

  1. Open /chat and start with one practical question.
  2. Use /insights for briefings, trends, and reviews.
  3. Use /settings for account, coach, integrations, and privacy controls.

How to use it #

  1. Ask your coach about one real situation: a meal, workout, travel day, low-energy day, or weekend plan.
  2. Use quick replies when shown, especially in the first session. They help the coach build context without a long form.
  3. If you are on a trial, send a follow-up after the first personalised reply so the coach can turn the initial guidance into a useful next step.
  4. Correct the coach when it misses context. Say what is wrong and what you want it to remember differently.
  5. Open Insights to check patterns, not to judge one day in isolation.
  6. Connect health data or MyFitnessPal only if it reduces effort for you.

What happens next #

  • The coach builds a more useful picture as you chat, connect optional data, and keep memory controls active.
  • Coaching Rhythm can use check-ins, routines, and permitted timing patterns to make future suggestions better timed.
  • Daily Briefings and Weekly Reviews become more useful once there is enough recent activity.
  • If a week is disrupted, use This Week's Reality or tell the coach directly so guidance adapts.

Troubleshooting #

  • The coach is too generic. Give one concrete detail: time available, food preference, training status, mood, or what went wrong last time.
  • My trial did not start. Open Settings > Subscription and check the trial status. Trial eligibility is account-based, and the app should show whether a trial is active, expired, or unavailable.
  • I missed a day. Just come back to Chat. NutriTracker does not treat a missed day as failure.
  • I connected data but cannot see insights yet. Sync the integration and check again later. Some cards need enough recent data to show a useful pattern.
  • I feel overwhelmed by features. Use only Chat and Insights for the first week. Add integrations, photos, fasting, or manual weight logging when they help.

Privacy and safety notes #

  • Avoid sharing medical emergencies or urgent clinical issues with the coach. Use appropriate professional help for urgent or medical concerns.
