Managing What Your Coach Remembers

Memory helps your coach avoid starting from scratch. You stay in control of what is learned, corrected, pinned, deleted, paused, or exported.

Before you start #

  • You must be signed in.
  • Advanced memory controls and export are Pro-gated in the app implementation.
  • Coaching Rhythm privacy controls are not part of Pro gating. They are consent and personalisation controls.
  • AI data consent must be active for AI coaching and memory learning to work.

Where to find it #

iOS #

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Use the search bar and search for Your Memory.
  3. Tap Your Memory.
  4. For rhythm controls, open Settings > Personalisation > Coaching Rhythm.

Android #

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap the search icon and search for Your Memory.
  3. Tap Your Memory.
  4. For rhythm controls, open Settings > Personalisation > Coaching Rhythm.

Web #

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open Privacy & Security.
  3. Click Coach Memory or go to /settings/memory when the memory controls route is enabled.
  4. Use Settings > Personalisation > Coaching Rhythm for rhythm controls when shown.

How to use it #

  1. Open Your Memory or Coach Memory.
  2. Review the memory groups and individual memory items.
  3. Edit an item to correct it. On mobile, the edit sheet is called Correct memory and uses the field What your coach should remember.
  4. Pin important memory so the coach keeps it prominent.
  5. Delete memory that is wrong, outdated, or not wanted.
  6. Use Pause learning for 24 hours when you want the coach to reply without learning anything new from conversations.
  7. Use Coaching Rhythm to pause timing personalisation, pause health-derived timing, pause notification timing, reset learned rhythm, export rhythm data, or delete rhythm data.
  8. Use Export coaching memory on web Privacy & Security if you are Pro and want a download.

What happens next #

  • Edited, pinned, or deleted memory changes what the coach can use in future replies.
  • Pausing learning stops new memory writes for 24 hours, then learning can resume.
  • Resetting or deleting Coaching Rhythm changes timing personalisation without deleting normal chat history.
  • Derived or system-created memory items can be read-only on mobile; delete or contact support if a read-only item is wrong and cannot be edited.

Troubleshooting #

  • I cannot see Your Memory. Check Pro status, AI Data Sharing, and app version. On web, try /settings/memory.
  • An item is read-only. Some derived items are not editable in place. Delete it if the app allows deletion, or contact support with the exact item text.
  • The coach remembered something wrong. Correct or delete the memory item, then tell the coach the corrected context in Chat.
  • Coaching Rhythm feels wrong. Open Settings > Personalisation > Coaching Rhythm, reset or pause the rhythm, then correct the coach in Chat so future suggestions use the new context.
  • Memory export is blocked. Memory export is a Pro feature in web Privacy & Security.

Privacy and safety notes #

  • Memory can include health-adjacent preferences, routines, goals, and coaching context. Do not store secrets or urgent medical details.
  • Coaching Rhythm uses patterns and bounded timing summaries, not certainty, medical profiling, or a promise of results.
  • Revoking AI data consent disables AI coaching, weekly reviews, personalised notifications, and AI insights while preserving your account and history.
